PRACTICE

Amy Lipton believes that the therapeutic relationship is extremely important in helping patients to achieve their goals and strives to create an atmosphere of trust and warmth in therapy.
Amy works with patients to identify the sources of the uncomfortable emotions they are experiencing, unhealthy behaviors they are engaging in, and maladaptive relationship patterns they are enacting while simultaneously assisting them in developing healthier means of coping, leading to a happier, more fulfilling life.
Amy primarily practices from a psychodynamic perspective, but utilizes cognitive behavioral and DBT techniques when appropriate.
